Having played professionally in England and Canada, Max began his coaching career at a young age and now holds a UEFA ‘A’ Licence.
He has held multiple coaching roles at Sheffield Wednesday Academy, working with age groups from U9 to U18. In 2018, he was appointed First Team Coach at Oldham Athletic in League Two and also had a brief coaching stint at Derby County’s Academy.
From 2019, Max spent two seasons with Gold Coast Knights, starting as Assistant Coach before stepping up as Head Coach of the first team.
Most recently, he was appointed Head Coach of Burleigh FC, where he made an immediate impact, leading the team to a third-place finish and securing finals football for the first time in years.
Since joining Core Football, Max has made a significant impact within the community and across Queensland. His experience is invaluable, and he remains fully committed to mentoring, inspiring, and developing aspiring players across the country.
